Conductor, choirmaster, music theorist, and educator. A graduate in music theory and choral conducting, Dawid Ber holds post-graduate degrees in choral direction from the music academies in Łódź and Bydgoszcz. Since 1998, he has been associated with the Stanisław Moniuszko Schools of Music in Łódź, where he has headed the Theory Department since 2011. Since 2008, he has taught choral conducting at the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź, where he currently serves as Professor and Head of the Department of Music Education.
From 2011 to 2021, he was First Conductor and Head of the Łódź Philharmonic Choir. He also directs the Chamber Choir of the Academy of Music in Łódź, the Lodz Chamber Choir, Vivid Singers, the Lutnia Men’s Choir in Warta, and the Mixed Choir of the Baptist Church in Łódź. Dawid Ber has made a number of choral recordings, including the album Contemporary Choral Music from Łódź (DUX, 2023). With the ensembles he leads, he has won numerous awards at competitions and festivals in Poland and abroad. He is eagerly invited to choral festivals, competitions, and workshops as a jury member and lecturer.
